Meet Dr. Miranda

Meet Dr. Miranda, our dentist, who is a native of Menomonee Falls where she grew up and lives with her husband. She was inspired at a young age by her pediatric dentist, Dr. Neil Peterson, to become a dentist. In high school, she started shadowing at High Point Dentistry, where she was able to watch procedures, help with sterilization, and even learn how to dental assist. It was during this shadowing experience that she realized that dentistry is a unique combination of science and art, which happened to be her two favorite subjects.

Dr. Miranda is also passionate about helping people and creating relationships. Dentistry provides the amazing opportunity to help people gain or regain their confidence through their smile. Dr. Miranda is aware that the dental chair can provoke nerves and anxiety, which is why she takes extra care and patience to make sure that every dental experience is a positive one. She takes the time to thoroughly explain procedures and do everything possible to ensure patient comfort.

Educational, Leadership, and Volunteer Background:

Dr. Miranda is a graduate of Brookfield Academy. She then went on to Marquette University to obtain her Bachelor’s of Science, where she majored in Biomedical Sciences and minored in Health Studies. During her college years she gained valuable leadership experience as President of her sorority, Alpha Phi. She spent her free time volunteering for the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Dental Clinic and for numerous Wisconsin Dental Association sponsored Missions of Mercy.

Dr. Miranda stayed in Milwaukee for dental school as she graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry. After graduation she went on to complete a fellowship in general dentistry in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where she gained advanced experience in general dental procedures. Before coming to High Point Dentistry, she spent time volunteering at Community Smiles Dental Clinic (formerly Waukesha Community Dental Clinic) providing dental care to low-income children and pregnant women.

Life Outside of the Practice:

When Dr. Miranda isn’t seeing patients she spends a lot of time staying up to date with dental advancements and attending continuing education courses. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and she is a Pierre Fauchard Academy Fellow. She serves on the communication and legislative committees for Wisconsin Dental Association and is on the board of directors for Community Smiles Dental Clinic and the Waukesha County Dental Society.

For fun, Dr. Miranda loves reading, crafting, and being active! She loves to try new restaurants with her husband Kurt and explore new towns and cities!
